The landscape install crew leader works directly under the landscape foreman to help accomplish daily landscape tasks including but not limited to: grading, plant layout and installation, irrigation layout and installation, drainage and hardscapes. This position is expected to be a strong leader within the crew to manage projects in the foreman’s absence with a positive attitude, consistent work ethic, and good communication with the customer, office, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent punctuality and attendance by having zero unexcused absences or tardy within the first 90 days.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills between clients, office and vendors.
  • Follow direction and execute tasks to help crew meet production & SPH goal.
  • Responsible for preparation of truck, equipment, and materials for next day.
  • Assist foreman and direct other crew members in foreman’s absence.
  • Required to be licensed and insurable to drive company vehicles.

Competencies

  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic plant identification, layout and installation of irrigation systems, grading, plant layout and installation, drainage and hardscapes.
  • Operate skid steer and compact utility loader with various attachments.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in landscape installation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and apply professional behavior and ethics.
